Perlan has a free shuttle bus from Harpa music hall, every 30 minutes from 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
It takes 20-40 minutes to walk from downtown Reykjavík to Perlan. It takes 5-10 minutes to drive from downtown Reykjavík to Perlan.
Perlan offers all visitors free parking. Strætó, the Icelandic public transport company operates numerous city buses in Reykjavík. Line 18 stops the closest to Perlan.

For public buses in Reykjavík, you can pay for a ticket either with cash or with the KLAPP app. If you’re paying with cash, make sure that you have the right amount, because the drivers can’t give change.
Reykjavík’s hop-on hop-off buses run throughout the day all year round. But be aware that the timetable changes slightly depending on the season.
In the summer, the buses run every 30 minutes from 08:30 to 16:30. The route takes 1 hour, 15 minutes in total.
In the winter, buses run every 45 minutes from 09:30 to 16:15. The route typically takes less time, just 1 hour, 10 minutes.
As the buses run on public roads, the timetable is subject to change due to traffic, road closures, or public events.
All hop-on hop-off buses have climate control, meaning that they have air conditioning if it is warm outside and heating if it is cold. Whatever the weather in Reykjavík when you’re visiting, you’ll be perfectly comfortable on the bus!
Your voucher is valid for a year from the purchase date, but once you exchange the voucher for a ticket, the ticket is typically valid for 24 or 48 hours, depending on the type of ticket you purchased.
