Skarfabakki is one of Reykjavík’s key pick-up points for day tours and airport transfers. Located by the city harbor, this spot is more than just a parking area for your big boat, it’s the first step of your journey! Whether you're heading to see geysers, glaciers, or hot springs, your adventure begins here.

At Skarfabakki, you'll find our Tour Sales Kiosk, where you can get help with bookings, ask questions, or buy last-minute tickets for your next great experience. And don’t worry if we’re temporarily away, just scan the QR code on the booth to book directly online.

What does your pickup bus look like?

The vehicle picking you up could be:

  • A Sprinter-type minibus
  • A medium-sized electric bus
  • A large red double-decker city bus

All buses will clearly display the Reykjavik Excursions logo, so you can easily recognize them and will pull up directly across from the VÖR terminal (point 1 on the map above).

Don't Miss the Bus: Why Pick-up Time and Departure Time Are Different

Just a friendly reminder: pick-up time and departure time are not the same!

While the departure time refers to when the bus leaves the BSI terminal, your pick-up time is scheduled 30 minutes earlier at your selected pick-up location.

This extra time allows our bus to gather all our wonderful guests from various spots around the city. To ensure you’re ready for your adventure, please be at your pickup point 30 minutes before the departure time listed on your ticket.

Your bus can arrive at any time within that 30-minute window, so a little patience goes a long way. If your pickup hasn’t arrived within the first 15–20 minutes, don’t hesitate to call us at +354 599 0000.
