Are you wondering about something?
If you're planning a trip to Iceland, it's important to be prepared with the right information. Here are some frequently asked questions (FAQs) to help you plan your trip
You should dress according to the day's weather and the forecast. On sunny days, it can be even warmer on the glacier than at the base. If it's rainy, it's best to have waterproof layers and extra clothes ready by your car. On windy days, it feels colder on the glacier.
All necessary equipment for the glacier walk, such as crampons, safety harness, helmet, and ice axes are provided.
The glacier is at the same elevation as the base and the car park. If you're comfortable at the base, you'll likely feel the same on the glacier. However, it's always a good idea to bring an extra layer just in case
We recommend bringing an extra layer, sunglasses, gloves (thin ones for summer and thick ones for winter), some water, a snack, a camera, and of course, a smile!
It's recommended to wear warm, windproof, and waterproof clothing. Layer your clothing to adjust to changing weather conditions. Don't forget sturdy hiking boots that cover the ankle.
